What do I wear? Dressing for your session.
Wear solid colored clothing black, earth tones, burgundy, blues, greens so that we see all of your face. If you wear stripes, patterns or flowers, you will take away attention from yourself and all we see are the clothes. Also, patterns make people appear heavier in their pictures.
- Choose 1-3 colors for your family portrait, ones with similar tones that go nicely together and have everyone work within that color palette.
- Choose a top with sleeves at least to the elbow. Why? because your arms take up more skin area than your face and will draw attention and it may make your arms appear larger.
- Wear some makeup on eyes and cheeks, shiny faces are not flattering, also lipstick or gloss looks great too.
